Sonia Bhagat holds a B.S. in International Studies and a B.A. in French and Francophone Studies from the Pennsylvania State University. She is currently pursuing a Masters degree in International Affairs at the Milano School of International Affairs, Management and Urban Policy in New York City. Most recently, she has returned from a three-month stay in Beirut, Lebanon where she worked for a women’s empowerment NGO called The Collective of Research on Training and Development (CRTD.A). There she conducted extensive research on the economic empowerment of Palestinian women and youth living in various refugee camps. She plans to complete a Masters video thesis with the footage and interviews collected during her study.
