Travis Capacete is one half of the Jtwo original two. Born in Jacksonville, Florida with a disdain for corporate ladders and a vision of changing the world via media, Travis was headed on a collision course with the Jtwo ideals from an early age.
He made his way up the east coast and enrolled at Penn State University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film & Video and discovered a newfound love for producing and editing. Even more importantly, however, Travis formed a close bond with a fellow “film kid” who hated cubicles and shared his lofty aspirations of world change.
Before Travis’s entrepreneurial dreams could be a reality, he knew he had to cut his teeth from Tinsel Town to the Big Apple in order to get a foot in the door. He grabbed his lunch pail and went to work at world renowned companies such as NFL Films, NBC/Universal, Warner Brothers, and Shooters/Dive climbing the ranks as a Production Assistant, Technician, Assistant Editor and Editor until it was time to chase his dream again.
In 2007 that time had come and Jtwo Films was born.
Since that time, Travis has Produced an award-winning feature film, developed TV pilots, edited TV commercials and partied with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson one memorable New Years. This one time sponsored skater put the dream in the American Dream, and might be the only person alive to have seen Bad Santa 421 times.
Ask him about how his goals have evolved for Jtwo over the years and Travis simply states, “ I don’t play hockey and I hate soccer….we’re here to change the world.”
